Worship Service Special Guest Rodney Jones May 24th You are warmly invited to attend the ECK Worship Service held on the third Sunday of the month at The Modern Maturity Center, Dover, Delaware, from 11:00 AM to 12 noon. The ECK Worship service usually begins with an introduction to the day's spiritual topic. This may include a brief talk by an ECK cleric leading the service, a guest speaker, or a panel. Sometimes a musical performance or a song is included. A reading drawn from the written works of Eckankar is always presented. The reading is followed by a HU Song and a period of silent contemplation. HU is an ancient name for God. It is pronounced "hue" and is sung in a long, drawn out breath -- Huuuuuuuuuu. HU opens the singer's heart to God and helps open the singer's spiritual eyes and ears to the presence of Holy Spirit. The HU Song is followed by a silent contemplation to engage Holy Spirit in the secret chambers of your heart. An open discussion on the day's topic usually follows the contemplation. The focus is often on sharing with each other our personal experiences of Holy Spirit at work in our daily lives. This spiritual discussion helps everyone gain a deeper insight through sharing the knowledge that comes with direct experience. "Holy Spirit" is known in the teachings of Eckankar as "the ECK," "the Light and Sound of God," or "the Voice of God." For
